FOCUS AND SCOPE

The Bulletin of Science, Technology and Society is an interdisciplinary journal that fosters critical analysis and scholarly dialogue across diverse fields. The journal welcomes contributions that explore the dynamic interplay between science, technology, and society through multiple disciplinary lenses.

We encourage submissions that draw from, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • History, sociology, and philosophy of science and technology
  • Economics, political science, and international relations
  • Science and technology policy, including innovation studies
  • Foresight and future studies related to scientific and technological development
  • Technology management and governance
  • Environmental studies and sustainability science
  • Energy studies and policy analysis

The journal particularly values interdisciplinary approaches that integrate theoretical frameworks with empirical research, and that address contemporary challenges at the intersection of scientific advancement and societal transformation.

Submissions may include original research articles, theoretical explorations, policy reviews, and case studies that contribute to the understanding of how science and technology shape and are shaped by social, cultural, ethical, and political contexts.
